With all our food at Beggar Bog, we try to shop both sensibly and locally: all our meats will be supplied by our local butcher and whenever possible other ingredients will be locally sourced and sensibly produced. Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements.
In the mornings we offer a traditional cooked breakfast, along with cereals, fruit and a range of beverages. Our sausages and bacon are from our local butcher and we highly rate his award-winning Northumbrian sausages. Our eggs will always be free range and when ever possible our breads, jams and preserves will be locally produced.
However, we also realise that sometimes a traditional breakfast may be too much so we are more than happy to make scrambled eggs, croissants or a fruit salad, you just have to let us know the night before.
Breakfast is normally served between 8.00am and 9.00am in the Kitchen in the main house.
Many of our local walks will take you into very quiet countryside so you may well want a packed lunch for the day. If one is required, just let us know at the time of booking.

In the evening we can sometimes provide a three course meal by arrangement. Alternatively, we can recommend two great local pubs, the Twice Brewed and the Milecastle, which are just a short drive away.
